Seneca says
It is not that we have a short space of time, but that we waste much of it. Life is long enough, and it has been given in sufficiently generous measure to allow the accomplishment of the very greatest things if the whole of it is well invested. But when it is squandered in luxury and carelessness, when it is devoted to no good end, forced at last by the ultimate necessity we perceive that it has passed away before we were aware that it was passing.

Venus vs. Vulcan
Sometimes the best way to win an argument is to leave it,
rather early.
There is no argument.

veils were lifted
And my grasps. A dissolving vision of faith, a home in him, an illusion.
And his words. Ripping from me what I hold most valuable.
And my body walking away on its own, into screeching traffic and out of our life.
And now. Time stands still.
"You are free."

words little & large, unfathomable
Adjust to sorrow, attune to farewell.
Die for a while if you must, dive deep and die.
Resurface free. Everything has changed.

Abraxas Rex
Abraxas begetteth truth and lying, good and evil, light and darkness in the same word and in the same act.
-Carl Jung's The Seven Sermons to the Dead
Abraxas is summum bonum and infinum malum in one,
at once.
Rex is the Latin word for king.
And Abraxas Rex is the jewelry line of Brooklyn artist Paris Kain. It has me weak at the knees. It's bold, sincere and raw. It's futuristic, ancient, astral and organic all at once. Bulky diamonds in the rough are dangling by fragile gold thread, big angular cuffs are adorned with tiny diamonds at the sharp edge of a pyramid peak. Each piece is inspired by the Gnostic religion and the legend of Atlantis. And some of them, I'm told, holds stones from outer space...
Shot a pic of Paris on my way out from his trunkshow. Love his stance and her scarf in the picture. Felt fedora, tan suspenders, silk. Old world glam.

Solve et Coagula
4. Study impressions...
...accept them,
all of them,
patiently.
5. Dare.
6. Love.
7. Bear.
6. Love.
7. Bear.
We are stars.
